TEAM B OF 14TH AARM WINS RIFLE NOVELTY SHOOT TITLE
Commander
of the Indonesian Army General Ryamizard Ryacudu who is
grouped in Team B of the ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM)
held in Cilodong, West Java, on Wednesday won the Rifle
Novelty Trophy.
Team
B also grouped ASEAN army commanders Lt. Gen. Kyaw Win of
Myanmar, Lt. Gen. Efren L Abu of the Philippines, Maj. Gen.
Desmon Kuek of Singa-pore and Maj. Gen. Nguyen Nang Nguyen
of Vietnam.
Team
A grouped ASEAN army commanders Gen. Dato' Seri Mohd . Azmy
of Malaysia, Gen. Chaivit Shinawatra of Thailand, Lt. Gen.
Sok Sa Em of Cambodia, Col. HJ Abdur Rahmani of Brunei Darussalam
and Col. Sy Inthavong of Laos.
The
Rifle Novelty Shoot tournament was attended by all commanders
of the ASEAN armies, except that of Myanmar. Participants
of the rifle novelty shoot were required to hit and dismantle
a steel plate target from a distance of 100 meters with
a lie-prone position.
Of the
two competition events facing Team A, Team B was able to
defeat its rival team so that it was awarded the Rifle Novelty
Shoot trophy at the closing of the 14th AARM.
Previously
in another category, the Rifle Match-5 was also held and
the first place was taken by the Philippine shooter, followed
by the host (Indonesia's shooter) in the second place and
the Malaysian in the third place.
The
14th AARM has been held since September 1 and was attended
by about 500 shooters from the 10 armies of the 10 ASEAN
nations.
ASEAN
groups Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore,
Thailand, Vietname, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos and
Myanmar.
