VIETNAMESE NEUTRAL OFFICER SEES 14TH AARM WELL ORGANIZED
Vietnamese
neutral officer at the 14th Asean Armies Rifle Meet (AARM),
Capt. Duong Van Huynh, said the 14th AARM being hosted by
the Indonesian National Army in Cilodong, West Java, is well
organized.
The organizing
com-mitee involves adequate number of personnel in the holding
of the 14th AARM so that they can cover many things in organizing
the shooting event among the armies of the ASEAN member countries,
Huynh said here Saturday.
"I
also see that the shooting ranges are well prapared and the
assistant personnel look well trained for the event and they
are very helpful to us," the newly-married officer said.
Although
doing a hard job, Huynh said he could en-joy being a neutral
officer during the ongoing shooting competition because he
can communicate and get acquainted with soldiers from other
ASEAN member countries.
According
to Huynh, his country is expected to host the AARM in 2006
with at least the same quality of organizing the. event as
what has been done by Indonesia, by preparing enough or even
better facilities and accomodation for all the contingents.
However,
the Vietnames neutral officer at the pist,, match-3a admitted
he and other members of the Vietnamese contingent must adjust
themselves to the hot weather in Cilodong as the climate in'
their country is fairer and even cooler.
On the
target his team would reach at the 14th AARM, Huynh said his
side has set no target in the shooting event but try to ma.'
ke it a means to enhance cooperation, solidarity and friendshi
among the armies of the ASEAN`: member countries.
